Cookie Policy
Last updated: 01 September 2026
This policy explains how Kroolo uses cookies and similar technologies, why we use them, and the choices you have. It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
1. About this policy
1.1 Who we are. “Kroolo”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Kroolo Labs, Inc. and its affiliates, as Section 1.1 of the Privacy Policy describes.
1.2 What it covers. This policy applies to our websites, including kroolo.com and kroolo.ai (the “Sites”), the Kroolo web application, our mobile and desktop apps, and the emails we send. In this policy, “cookies and similar technologies” means the technologies described in Section 2.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
- Cookies are small text files that a website places on your browser or device. They let a site recognize your device and remember information about your visit.
- Local storage and similar browser storage keep information in your browser for the same kinds of purposes.
- Pixels and web beacons are tiny images or code snippets on a page or in an email. When they load, they tell a server that the page or email was viewed or a link was clicked.
- Software development kits (SDKs) and device identifiers perform similar functions inside mobile apps.
Some are “first-party”, set by Kroolo, and some are “third-party”, set by a company that provides us a service. Some last only until you close your browser (“session” cookies) and others last longer (“persistent” cookies).
3. How we use them
We group them into four categories. Only strictly necessary cookies are set without your consent.
| Category | What they do | Your consent |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep you signed in, secure your session, route traffic, prevent fraud, process payments, and remember your cookie choices. The Sites and Services cannot work without them. | Not required, so they cannot be switched off in our settings. |
| Functional | Remember choices such as language and display settings, and provide features such as support chat. | Required where the law requires it. |
| Analytics | Count visitors and show which pages and features are used, so we can improve the Sites and Services. | Required where the law requires it. |
| Marketing | Help us measure our campaigns and understand which of our pages and messages interest visitors. | Required where the law requires it. |
4. Cookies we use
The table lists the main cookies and similar technologies on the Sites. It is reviewed at least 12 months and the list on our cookie settings panel is the current version.

5. Third parties
Some cookies are set by companies that provide us services, such as analytics, marketing, support and payments. These companies may collect an identifier for your browser or device, your IP address and information about the pages you view. That is personal information under many laws, even though it may not show your name. Their use of it is governed by their own privacy policies and, where they act for us, by our contract with them. Our Privacy Policy lists the categories of providers we use. We do not sell personal information.
6. Your choices
6.1 Cookie settings. When you first visit the Sites, a banner lets you accept, reject or choose categories of non-essential cookies. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of the Sites. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier use that was lawful when it happened.
6.2 Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Instructions are available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Sites and Services will not work, and if you delete cookies you may need to make your choices again.
6.3 Analytics and advertising opt-outs. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the Network Advertising Initiative, the Digital Advertising Alliance and Your Online Choices.
6.4 Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal where the law requires it. There is no common standard for “Do Not Track” browser signals, so we do not respond to them.
6.5 Mobile apps. Use the privacy settings on your device to limit or reset advertising identifiers and to control tracking by apps.
6.6 Emails. You can limit email tracking by turning off automatic image loading in your email client, and you can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in each message.
7. Consent and regional rules
7.1 EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland. We set non-essential cookies only after you consent. The banner has no pre-ticked boxes, and rejecting is as easy as accepting. We keep a record of your choice and ask you again after 12 months or if our use of cookies changes materially.
7.2 Singapore, UAE, and India. We tell you about the cookies we use and set non-essential cookies with your consent or as the applicable data protection law otherwise allows.
7.3 United States. You may opt out of “sale”, “sharing” and targeted advertising, including by sending a Global Privacy Control signal, as described in Section 12.5 of the Privacy Policy.
7.4 Other places. We apply the rules that are in force where you are, and the banner shows the choices that apply to you.
8. Pixels and email tracking
Pixels and web beacons on our Sites are governed by the same choices as cookies, because they work together with them. We do not load marketing or analytics pixels on the Sites before you consent where the law requires consent. In our emails, a pixel can tell us that a message was opened and which links were clicked. We use that to understand interest in our topics and to reduce messages that are not useful to you. You can limit it as Section 6.6 describes.
9. How we handle the information
Information collected through cookies and similar technologies is handled as our Privacy Policy describes, including your rights, how long we keep information, and international transfers. For questions or requests, write to privacy@kroolo.com.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices, technology or the law change. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. If we make a material change, such as adding a new category of cookies, we will ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
